Description
Java Developers required immediately for 6 month rolling contracts with a Cork based software development consultancy. Reporting into the Project Lead the successful candidate will work on a major n-tier enterprise application.
Role / Opportunity
- Develop/Maintain multi-tier applications in Java Develop service and data layer components to support the user interface functionality
- Business Rule development.
- Develop unit tests, understand build systems (MVN, SVN)
- Peer review of detailed designs, code and unit tests.
- Bug fixing and enhancement implementation.
Skills / Experience:
- Excellent knowledge of Java / J2EE
- Spring Framework
- Hibernate / JPA
- Apache Jakarta
- Strong application process flow and problem solving techniques
- Ability to set and work to fixed deadlines
- Good level of software engineering literacy and communication skills
- Knowledge of design patterns
- Cruisecontrol
- Custom JSP Tag libraries
- Aspect Oriented Programming
- JavaSpaces and GWT
- Web service development
Contracts will be for a minimum 6 months with extension thereafter. Daily rate on offer.
