Description
Java Developers required immediately to join a very successful company in Cork city
Reporting into the Development Manager the successful candidates will work on a number of projects developing applications and public facing web and mobile based sites within a Betting Exchange domain.
Role / Opportunity
- Architecture, design and implementation of JEE based applications
- Design and review of software systems and components (UML)
- Design and implementation of web-based and thick client user interfaces
- Support testing and operations by QA, operations and other departments as need be
- Provide leadership over teams that are focused on delivering customer products
- Implementation of Agile development processes
Skills / Experience
- At least five years Java development experience covering:
Java, JEE, Messaging
JBoss, Resin, Tomcat Application Server
SQL, MySQL
Spring and / or Struts
REST API
XML processing
JQuery
JSP, Taglibs
HTML 5 CSS
Continuous Build environment
Unit tests
- Strong Object Oriented development skills and knowledge of design patterns
- Experience working in an Agile Development environment
- Experience in highly transactional multi-user systems
- Strong systems analysis skills.
- Strong database design and implementation experience
- Experience of working within an agile development framework - SCRUM
- Working knowledge of UNIX
- Mobile development experience on Android/iPhone would be great.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
