Description
Our client is currently seeking a Systems & Network Administrator to join their team based in Dublin on a permanent basis.
Role / Opportunity
- Daily monitoring of DNS infrastructure components.
- Daily administration and support of production, test and development environments.
- Upgrade and maintenance of network devices and server machines.
- Involvement in systems development and new technology projects.
Skills / Experience
- BSc in Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience.
- Programming skills in any of the following: Perl, PHP, C, shell scripting.
- Working knowledge of MySQL, Oracle knowledge a plus.
- Excellent working knowledge of DNS and internet protocols.
- Minimum of five years Linux systems administration experience (preferably Red Hat).
- Knowledge of popular open source server software – BIND, LAMP, Squid, Samba, NTP, DHCP, Zimbra.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting systems such as OSSIM, Splunk, Nagios and MRTG.
- Solaris and Windows Server environments.
- Knowledge of networked storage, HP SANs, Data Domain storage systems, Virtual Tape Libraries.
- Excellent knowledge of virtualisation products specifically VMware ESX.
- Experience with Security Policy development and Disaster recovery.
