Description

Our client, a leading telecommunications company is currently seeking a BSS Mobile CRM & MW Engineer to join their team based in Dublin on a permanent basis.

Role / Opportunity

  • The analysis, development & implementation of technical solutions for all new and major changes to programmes and project requirements, involving Fixed, Mobile Technologies, covering IT systems, Service Platforms and Core network elements
  • To plan and manage the delivery of small or sub-projects in line with published release plans utilising standard practice for planning, monitoring, and status communication.
  • To align activities with service development lifecycle milestones
  • To identify any BSS/OSS/BI/DWH requirements for the support of new services.
  • To produce Operations Guides to assist operational personnel with fault identification and resolution on new service platforms/systems.

Skills / Experience

  • Substantial experience building carrier class applications
  • Knowledge and experience of project management tools and techniques.
  • Design, build and test network / application components.
  • Writing Solution Assessessments /SDs, Functional Specifications / TDDs ad other development process-based documentation.
  • Ensuring delivery targets are met on time, to budget, and meet applicable quality criteria.
  • Software design skills with strong background of software development in Java on Unix platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Java and object oriented principles (OOD).
  • Good knowledge of Oracle and PL/SQL.
  • General knowledge of web services, wsdl’s, SOAP and Unix command-lines
  • Knowledge of XQuery/XPath, Spring, Hibernate, JMeter, SOAP UI, implementation of "mock" Web Services, WinRunner / LoadRunner.
  • Knowledge of middleware platforms with experience in designing and developing middleware software solutions. Expertise of : BEA WebLogic Integration (WLI), Aqua Logic Service Bus (ALSB), WebLogic Server (WLS).
  • Deploying/configuring "BEA domains"
  • Software development lifecycle experience.

Beneficial to have the following:

  • Knowledge of mobile telecommunications in particular prepaid charging platforms, GPRS and 3G, and SMS, WAP and MMS.
  • Strong knowledge of OSS/BSS IT applications, in particular Mediation, Billing, Porting and Provisioning.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
