Description
Our client, a leading telecommunications company is currently seeking a IPTV Services Support & Maintenance Manager to join their team based in Dublin on a permanent basis.
Role / Opportunity
To manage the second line support of Group Technology IPTV platforms and solutions. Manage a team of IPTV support Engineers. Ensure the effective ongoing proactive support and maintenance of IPTV services and the Infrastructure used to support the delivery of IPTV services. Manage the provision of level 2 problem and incident management support to the Service Management centre. Management of relationship with IPTV external vendors including SLA and support contract management
Skills / Experience
- 10+ years experience or equivalent in an operation support environment
- Technical degree or equivalent experience
- IPTV operational Experience in management or team lead roles
- Strong IPTV technical Knowledge, with proven experience designing and/or managing the following systems:
- Video headends (satellite ingestion, VoD ingestion, encoding, encryption)
- Content management systems
- CDN
- Over the top encoding and delivery infrastructure
- Video monitoring
- Storage solutions (SAN and NAS)
- Network quality of service and end to end quality of experience monitoring
- Expertise in designing and/or managing IP multicast and QoS services
- Any hands-on experience in the management of the following vendors a distinctive advantage: Tandberg, Verimatrix, Envivio, Edgeware, Myrio/NokiaSiemensNetworks, Evertz, Agama, Ineoquest, Oracle/Sun, Juniper,
