Description
Berkley Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Automation Programmer to work on a long term contract with our Biopharma client in Cork.
Role/Opportunity:
- Develop automation application software for the Foxboro IA DCS platform
- Work collaboratively with Automation Designers to produce software that meets their specifications
- Participate in design reviews and software code reviews
- Participate in developing test specifications, and execute testing of the application software in a simulated test environment when required.
- Potentially assist in automation support necessary for start-up and commissioning of the facility
- Abide by all safety requirements and procedures pertaining to their role
Skills/Experience
- BS Engineering or Computer science (or equivalent experience)
- 2 years working in BioPharma engineering , operations, or manufacturing
- 5 years experience in distributed control system automation design
- Foxboro experience, including batch, required
- IT knowledge desirable
- Demonstrated team work abilities
- Knowledge of GMP’S, regulatory requirements , computer system validation
- Good written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
