Description
Reporting into the Sales Support Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for providing customers and sales reps with technical product advice and demo support during pre-sales discussions.
Role / Responsibilities
Perform technical pre-sales support activities in support of the company's products or services sales
Perform product demos
Answer questions from potential customers
Provide installation and pre-sales support
Maintain and continually upgrade technical understanding of products
Assist Inside Sales Reps and prospects in resolving pre-sales technical problems
Perform pre-sale technical support duties, including installation and training
Skills / Experience
At least five years of technical product support experience
Able to resolve modest pre-sales technical problems, working with field sales personnel
Able to present basic technical concepts in a clear manner to customers through demos and proposals
Strong server (Windows, UNIX or Linux) experience
Good writing, editing, communications and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Networks and CISCO technology essential
Windows and Unix Scripting (VB, Perl, shell) experience highly desirable.
Experience with TCP/IP based networks, SNMP, ICMP, Routing protocols , Switches, Firewalls of benefit
Bachelor's degree in business or computer science
Extremely customer service focused
