Description
Reporting to the Operations Support Coordinator, the successful candidate will provide technical support in Microsoft based applications, in house applications and various hardware products to a substantial national and international client base.
Role / Responsibilities
- Be the point of escalation for Level 1 engineers, working with the support team to ensure all issues are resolved quickly and efficiently
- Provide support across software, peripherals (fax, printer etc) and server issues
- Study trends in incoming cases in search of hot issues and report these issues to management
- Bring any unusual customer problems or incidents to the attention of management
- The range of products includes but is not limited to Microsoft, HP, IBM, Cisco, Symantec, Citrix and VMWare.
Skills / Experience
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in both remote and on-site support
- Experience in supporting VMWare and Citrix environments
- Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies, including Exchange 2010 and Server 2008
- Proven track record in delivering a high quality of customer service while adhering to business SLA’s
- A willingness to work in a challenging, high volume and fast paced environment
- Excellent team working and communication skills
- A relevant third level computer qualification
