Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technology Consultant (ATC) to join a Pre-Sales team, specifically assigned to provide pre-sales technical support to the Inside Sales and Partner Support Centre teams for a global services provider based in Cork.
Role / Responsibility
- Giving technical advice, developing solutions designs, and providing training to Inside Sales
- Provide technical advice and be a mentor to other members of the Cork Pre-Sales Team.
- Advise Inside Sales (IS) in all technical pre-sales support functions, providing technical advice to IS and Partners on the best solutions to fit customer requirements.
- Develop and Respond to RFP’s as requested from Partners and Inside Sales Reps
- Mentor and assist other team members in resolving on-going cases
- Prepare documents such as configurations, quotes, architectures, customer Q&A, and additional account information in support of IS and Partner bids.
- Provide quoting, pricing and discount levels as agreed with District Managers
- Prepare detailed topologies and architectures of customer site, before and after proposed new solutions
- Provide demos of products through Live Meeting and similar on-line tools
- Work with Inside Sales Account Managers on conference calls primarily using English an German languages, to support the sale and to help the IS Reps become technically proficient
- Deliver training on how to use the quoting tools (Channel Xpress (CXP) and Direct Xpress (DXP))
- Assist the Partner Support Centre in resolving Partner CXP configuration issues
Skills / Experience
- Language – For this particular vacancy German language skills are required.
- Bachelors Technical (or equivalent)
- 4 - 6 Years post qualification experience in an IT technical role
- Typically network or systems administrator or similar
- Ideally with strong server (Windows, UNIX or Linux)
- ISM Qualification (Information Storage and Management)
- Storage experience (SAN and/or NAS)
- Backup and Recovery knowledge/experience
- Cloud Computing knowledge
- Training and Presentation skills
- Strong communications skills
- Good organization and time management skills
